Imported Granite Countertops
Countertops throughout the kitchen and beverage center are imported Amazon Green granite. The large slabs were brought into Atlanta and hand-picked by the owner. The island measures 12’ x 5’-6” and includes a 4’x2’ bake center with a pop-up Kitchen-Aid mixer and canister / condiment drawers. The island also includes a stainless prep sink with disposal and ample storage for cooking and bakeware. On the seating side of the island there are large storage closets underneath. At the end of the island is a raised wine rack and cookbook storage.
True Refrigerator / Freezer
The kitchen is equipped with True Refrigerator / Freezers which have been recognized as Best in Class for Professional Products for 13 consecutive years. True’s solid door reach-in is designed with enduring quality using the highest quality materials and components. The refrigerator and freezer provide the user with colder product temperatures and exceptional food safety. Both the refrigerator and freezer are surrounded by custom cabinetry for an upscale look to a commercial appliance.
Vulcan Stove
A cook’s dream! The 60” Vulcan Endurance series gas stove has a stainless steel body with six 32,000 BTU/HR cast top burners with lift off heads. The 35,000 BTU/hr. double ovens have porcelain interiors with individual thermostats (low to 550 degrees). The griddle/broiler has a 24”wide polished steel griddle plate with 30,000 BTU/HR and reversible salamander 6” plate-shelf. The top burners, griddle, salamander & ovens have front-mounted gas control with an additional full LP shutoff to the gas connection.
Bosch Dishwashers
The kitchen houses two high-end Bosch dishwashers. The area is designed for perfect, efficient clean-up with sink, trash, recycling and trash compactor all within steps of one another and the dishwashers. Both Bosch dishwashers have multiple cycles, are energy efficient and whisper quiet.
Built-In Trash Receptacles
There are 3 built-in pullout trash receptacles. The first is a custom cabinet with 2 trashcans for regular and recycling, adjoining the second which is an electric trash compactor.
Desk Area / Charging Station / Master Controls
The custom desk and shelves are perfect for dropping keys, purse and re-charging electronics. It’s also great as a message and telephone center. The area has 12 electrical outlets and has both security and sound systems. The all house Lutron Lighting Master Controls are located on the desk, as well as in the master bedroom.
Pantry
The Pantry has two windows for ample light and two large industrial shelving units. There is a key rack and hanging pegs for coats, hats, etc. and a shoe rack as you enter. A high storage shelf runs all the way around the room a few feet below the ceiling for paper and long term items.
Custom Cabinetry
The custom cabinets are all constructed from maple and are specifically designed by the original owner and the talented regional craftsman who created all the cabinets at Cabin in the Clouds. They are finished with a paint stain and glaze, which then was antiqued giving the cabinetry an elegant look while maintaining a warm feel. The functional aspects of the cabinets include two oversized spice pullouts, mixer pop-up, baking pan slots, oversized appliance garage with power for 4-6 appliances, a large built in ‘hutch’ / built-in shelf with storage for decorative pieces or dishes, and four other open design bookcase glassware and dish storage areas. The cabinets have bead board backing in the open areas and a special touch of bead board incorporated into the crown molding.
Beverage Center
An enhancement to the kitchen and dining area(s) is the incorporation of a beverage center. The area is available for self-service for family and guests visiting in the kitchen, dining, fireplace, sitting area, living room, screened porch and decks. The features of the center are glassware and liquor storage, decorative stainless steel bowl sink, Scotsman ice maker and Scotsman wine refrigerator.
Miele Convection Oven
The Miele is a true European convection oven (70cm) with PerfectClean Enamel interior finish. The oven has ten operating modes, including Intensive Bake, two zone infrared broiling and AutoRoast. The Miele Oven and the Thermador Microwave are housed in the same custom cabinet with a pan storage cabinet above them and two oversized drawers beneath.
Thermador Microwave Oven
A powerful 2.1 CF, 1100 watt, microwave with a 16 ½” turntable has sensor cooking and 10 power levels. A stainless steel built-in Thermador Microwave Oven is housed below the Miele Convection Oven.
Temp-Cast Baking Oven
The Temp-Cast Masonry Fireplace / Heater has many benefits: the spectacular fire, the peace of mind in having an independent, clean-burning technology heat source that can reduce utility costs, and it includes the baking oven feature. There is nothing better than wood fired breads, roasted veggies and pizza all while heating your home.
Stone Surround Exhaust Hood
A feature of the home above the Vulcan stove is a stunning custom-built stone surround which houses a 60”, 1700 cfm, by Broan an Italian designed, stainless steel exhaust system with an exterior mounted blower. The system provides high ventilation, and is whisper quiet with durable construction while meeting the needs of the professional equipment in the kitchen.
Laundry Room
The Maytag Washer / Dryer combo are raised with storage drawers underneath. Maxima, Maytag Commercial Technology 27″ Front-Load Steam Washer with 4.3 cu. ft. Capacity, HE, 12 Cycles Including PowerWash, Steam for Stains/Oxi Boost Options, MaxExtract, CEE Tier III Energy Star Qualified. Maxima, Maytag Commercial Technology 27″ Electric Steam Dryer with 7.4 cu. ft. Capacity, 8 Cycles, 5 Temp. Settings, Adv Moisture Sensing, Wrinkle Control. There is a Utility sink and a broom/mop hanging unit. The Shelf to the side of the Washer Dryer has room for hanging clothing and above the Washer Dryer room for storage.
